Yeah, that's right. THIS BLOG IS ABOUT ME! to hell with entertaining others....
Sooo, whats up with me?
I'm obsessed with this song....The General by Dispatch
I finally listened to this band....Vampire Weekend...after thinking that they were some kind of teeny bopper fad, I realize I really f'ing love this band!
Also, I'm learning Guitar Picking so I can learn this song... I Will Follow You Into the Dark.. because who does not love this song?
I am reading... Middlesex, Batman the Return of Bruce Wayne ( this is a spin off of an earlier comic series I did a review on by Grant Morrison), and Air ( a comic given to me).
I rediscovered Flogging Molly's What's Left of the Flag, and this brings me into my commentary for today. My dream ,one day, is to drink to this song. Typical right? I mean it's an upbeat, brotherhood Irish song. You MUST drink to this song! I think Casadave and I should drink to this song and then continue drinking.
!!!!TANGENT ALERT!!!
I went to yoga the other day in the city and it was fabulous. It was at this place called The Laughing Lotus for only FIVE BUCKS! Deal!!! ( you don't even need a groupon!) Anyways, while at yoga, I was breathing deeply and thinking about the circle of life ( click on this damn link) and the yoga instructor was talking about some great yoga master who preached that,"One should live life as if every day is your last." This is one amazing standard to live by. If everyone followed this, there would be no plans, no schedules, and definitely no work. Except, I like plans. For instance, I want to go to LA in a week. I like that plan, but it does not fit the standard because I could die today and never make it to LA. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say, but I would revise that Buddhist monk's statement and instead say something like "Live today like you would every day, just make sure there is something good about it, like a chocolate eclair from a crazy delicious bakery"
Thus I leave you on that note.
Keywords from today as one word: Drinking-Chocolate-No Groupon-Eclair (ahahahaha..I crack my self up)
SONG OF THE DAY: The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing Called Love
